A brisk May morning didn’t dampen the spirits of the 56 golfers who teed off at the Sistersville Country Club for the annual Sistersville High School Alumni Golf Outing. Despite the unseasonable chill, the day was filled with food, laughter, and a fair share of “creative” golf, as alumni and friends gathered for a tradition that celebrates both competition and camaraderie.
The event featured three competitive flights, with teams battling for bragging rights. Taking top honors in the first flight was the team of Corey Bohrer, Wayne Martin, Chris Swofford, and Barry Spencer. The second flight was claimed by a family affair, as the father-son duo of Curtis and Cade Heintzman paired with Brian and Chase Camerlin. Rounding out the leaderboard, the third flight went to the squad of Wesley Morgan, Skyler Laesure, Jordan Baker, and Jonathan Lindsey.
While the golf may have ranged from stellar to just “serviceable,” the day was a hole-in-one for reconnecting with old friends and celebrating Tiger pride.
