Paden City residents are invited to learn more about potential long-range plan ideas for the city’s park during an upcoming gathering.

The Thrasher Group is slated to host a meeting from 4-6 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Paden City Public Library to reveal the results of a recent survey taken by several hundred residents.

In addition to Trasher, also hosting the meeting will be the Paden City Park & Pool Commission and the Paden City Development Authority.

Cork Bowen, director of the Paden City Development Authority, said there will also be environmental officials there to discuss assessments conducted on the 26-acre park.

After the presentations, people can ask questions.

“All citizens of Paden City are invited to take part in the open house by providing their insight and ideas on how to make our park better,” Bowen said.

“The Thrasher Group has been assisting the Development Authority in collaboration with the Park & Pool Commission to develop a long range usage plan for the Park. Thrasher designed a survey instrument with the input from the park and pool members plus other citizen input. The survey was well received and we had 400 surveys returned in a town of 2,200 people.”

Bowen noted Thrasher will present a few prototypes for the park.

“We are asking all citizens interested in seeing park progress, and offer more and improved facilities as we move forward in 2025 and beyond to attend,” he added.
