The evening will end with the annual Christmas Parade kicking off at 7 p.m. featuring the Tyler Consolidated High School marching and the top elf himself – Santa.

On Dec. 8, the town of Hundred will be hosting a variety of activities including a Christmas parade starting at 1 p.m. at Hundred High School on Hornet Highway.

From 2-5 p.m. there will be a live nativity at Town Hall, Donald Duck and storytime at the library, a Christmas craft and family photo opportunity at the Family Resource Center, sidewalk games at the Senior Center and Santa and Mrs. Claus on the boardwalk downtown. Sweets and treats will be available at the We Care Center, Route 250 Corner Cafe, Teagarden’s and Treasures. Hot food will be available at the Hundred Insurance Agency, Route 250 Cafe, Dairy Dream and 4 Sisters Market.

And the evening will conclude with a Town Tree Light Up at 5:30 p.m. at Town Hall. Vendors and crafters selling their wares at the Town Hall lot and Route 250 Cafe during the lighting.

For those who want a chance at prizes drawings during the Tree Lighting, one can get their Christmas Passport and have it stamped at nine event locations. Passports can be picked up on Dec. 8 at the Town Hall lot or Route 250 Cafe.

Meanwhile, the Wetzel-Tyler Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Christmas House Decorating Contest. Participants have until Dec. 16 to decorate their home and turn in a photo of their decorated house between Dec. 18-20. The winners will be announced on Dec. 23. First place will win $300; second place, $200; and third place, $100.

On Dec. 14, free family Christmastime fun is being offered at the Paden City Fire Hall starting at 2 p.m. Santa Claus will be there for photos. There will also be games and hot chocolate. Paden City’s Christmas parade will step off at 7 p.m. It begins at Valley Church and proceeds to Paden City High School. For those who would like to be in the parade, line up begins at 6 p.m.; for more information, call organizer Abigail Brady at 681-302-0382.
