The relocation of former oil derricks begins in Sistersville.

The two oil derricks at the corner of Diamond and Chelsea will be relocated to the grassy area across from the ferry on the current Oil & Gas Festival property.

They will be placed on both sides of the large welcoming Sistersville sign that you can see when entering Riverside Drive or exiting the ferry. The oil derricks had been in their uptown location for over 20 years, but the new location will highlight the rich oil history of our community to visitors.
