Tyler Consolidated Band Named Grand Champion

Viking Fest Grand Champion TCHS Band.
Tyler Consolidated High School Silver Knights Marching Band, known fondly in the area as the Pride of Tyler County, traveled to Ripley High School on Saturday, October 5th to compete in the Viking Fest at Memorial Stadium. Sweltering hot temps on the field couldn’t stop the Knights from pulling down top honors as they were crowned 2024 Ripley Viking Fest GRAND CHAMPIONS! This is the second time in three years that TCHS Knights Marching Band has won this competition.
Other highlights included Overall High Music Score, Overall Third Place Percussion, Overall Second Place Field Commander and Outstanding Soloist in Class A: Caramia McCoy (trombone).
TCHS Knights Band Director Matt Jennings was very happy with the performance of his dedicated musicians. He shared his feelings saying, “The hard work sure pays off, Knights Band! And it was very hot on that field today. I’m incredibly proud of this group!”
Tyler Consolidated High School Silver Knights Marching Band will head to Philip Barbour on Saturday, October 19th for the Horseshoe Classic.
