Sistersville Ferry Opens for the Season

After a challenging winter of hull and hydraulic repairs, plus cleanup of both the Sistersville and Fly Landings resulting from two rounds of flooding, your Sistersville Ferry is back and providing friendly, convenient Ohio River service.
Cross-river service has not changed; Thursday – Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM and private cruises are available Thursday – Sunday after 6 PM. Reservations can be made by contacting Sistersville City Hall.
We’re anticipating an exciting year with more Music on the River featuring live entertainment, our annual fireworks dinner cruise, and another history cruise.
This will be the final Ferry season that Capt. Bo Hause will serve as our pilot. Bo will be retiring, but agreed to remain available as our principal, mechanical trouble-shooter and repairman. Tom Meeks will be working with Capt. Bo all season as part of his training to achieve Coast Guard certification and a license to pilot the Ferry in 2025.
Season passes, including multiple free crossings, will be sold this year, and information about their availability is expected to be released soon. The Ferry will also have lots of new merchandise for sale.
The Ferry crew and the board of directors invite you to ride and help financially support this mid-Ohio Valley treasure – the last operating Ferry serving West Virginia and Ohio.
