Seven Indictments Returned By June 2022 Term of the Tyler County Grand Jury
The following persons were indicted by a grand jury sitting in the Circuit Court of Tyler County on June14, 2022.
Jeffrey Davis, 34, of 28 Dotson Lane, Middlebourne,WV, was charged with one misdemeanor count of Battery.
Charles Alden Carse, 28, of 575 Twin Hickories Road, Middlebourne, WV, was charged with one felony count of Possession of a Firearm on the Premises of an Educational Facility
Mya Jo Anderson, 18, of 94 Frew Circle, Middlebourne, WV, was charged with one felony count of Sexual Assault in the Third Degree
Matthew Joe Hunter, 47, of 362 Wilbur Lane, Alma, WV, was charged with two felony counts of Shoplifting, Third or Subsequent Offense
William Coty Powell, 37, of 7681 Elk Fork Road, Middlebourne, WV, was charged with one felony count of Escape from Custody
Michael Lee Bassett, 53, of 106 East Charles Street, Sistersville, WV, was charged with seven felony counts of Uttering
There was also an Indictment returned upon a case being prosecuted by Timothy Haught, Wetzel County Prosecuting Attorney, as Special Prosecuting Attorney. This office is unable to provide details concerning that matter.
An indictment is a mere accusation, and all of these persons are presumed by the law to be innocent of any crime unless and until they are determined to be guilty in an appropriate legal proceeding.
