Adopt a Cat

National Adopt a Cat Month was established by the American Humane Association back in the year 1974.

With June being the prime kitten season and many of those kitties ending up in local shelters it’s the perfect month for awareness.

Shelters are full of kittens and adult cats just waiting for their “Furever” home. Because of the campaign presented by the Humane Association many of these felines find home during the month of June.

If you are considering an addition from the pet world, consider adopting a cat. Adding a fury feline brings many perks. Cats are affectionate animals and can lower stress and anxiety. Cats are known to be beneficial to one’s physical and mental health. They act as a source of support for their owners. Although, some may not be kind on your furniture, they do make great companions and can make your life healthier and happier.

Statistics show 3.4 million felines will find their way to a shelter. Shelter animals will touch your heart and supply a life long love.
