The Tyler County Sheriff’s Office Monthly report from April 2022 has the department answering 222 total calls for a busy month.

Calls included 12 animal complaints, five breaking and enterings, five destroying property, seven driving complaints, seven Harassment/threats complaints, two ATV complaints, three domestic violence complaints, one intoxicated person, three mental hygiene, one missing juvenile, four noise complaints, four paper served, one person with a weapon, eight prisoner transports, one property ownership dispute, eight misc/notification, three deer damage complaints, three disabled vehicles, one child custody, one child abuse, three auto accidents, two be on the lookout, one search warrant, four sex crimes, 25 speak to an officer requests, one suicide/ATT suicide, two suicide attempts, six suspicious persons complaints, four suspicious vehicles, one theft total, 63 traffic stops, one unknown trouble, three vehicle lockouts, one wanted person call, two warrants served, four welfare checks.

The Sheriff’s department made the following arrests: No MVI or Expired MVI; Beer YOA, one child neglect resulting in injury, one left of center without center line, one intimidation of a state witness, and one possession of a controlled substance.

The Sheriff’s department issued 17 citations: one beer<21 YOA Purchase, five speeding, two expired registration, five no MVI, no certification of insurance, one failure to maintain control, one no seatbelt. The department also had 10 criminal investigations, 73 bailiff used, monitored five people on home confinement, and served 68.
