Students display art work

Thank you for joining us in our “Celebration of the Arts!” We hope you enjoy the hard work and creativity that our students have exhibited through their art. Student artwork was on display throughout the school and on the stage. Conner Saeger, a 5th grade student, designed a digital media program cover for our show, “SES Artists are OUT OF THIS WORLD About Art”. Thank you for your hard work, Conner! Overall art show winners were as follows: Best of Show Primary: Lane Young, Best of Show Secondary: Carridy Snider, Student Choice Award: Micah Owens, and Staff Choice Award: Arianna Henthorn. SES is also proud to announce that Emma McNeely’s mixed media artwork “Sugar Plum” was included in the Youth Art Month Show in Parkersburg. Her artwork will also be displayed during Arts Alive at the Culture Center in Charleston, WV, on May 6th along with an oil pastel entitled “Holiday Cat” by Carridy Snider; admission to Arts Alive showcase is free to the public. SES’s Spring Concert is scheduled to take place on April 28 at 6pm in the school gymnasium; everyone is welcome to attend!

Finally, I would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Joyce Hagerty, the SES art committee, volunteers, and everyone who helped organize the stage. Your help made the art show a success.
