Indian Creek News

By Karen Lancaster - s | Apr 26, 2022

I want to say first of all that no, I’m not starting to write my column again. I appreciate those I’ve seen that say they miss it. It’s been over two years since my eyesight was affected. In the last year, it has remained stable and I am grateful to be able to see to get around. I can’t see to read anything, except if someone makes the screen bigger for me. But I have become addicted to Wordle. It is a five letter word that you have to get using up to six chances. My sister told me how to make it bigger and our son, Randy, changed the colors on the letters to distinguish them better. You only get one word a day to solve. I have always loved word games and now I can’t see to play them, so this is fun for me.

I was in the store one day when an Indian Creek resident asked me how I was doing with my glass eye. What? No, I had an operation to correct a detached retina. I need the sight I have.

We are going to have an Indian Creek Yard Sale on Saturday, May 7 starting at 8:00 AM. But we are not going to have the food sale. We have a large yard sale at the Community Center, so the restrooms will be open. I am going to have mine. We only have four sales scheduled so far, but hope to have lots more. I will not do maps this year, but each sale will have signs to direct you to them. Please call me and let me know if you want to have a sale that day. My number is 304-889-2733.
