Thursday Morning Briefing 12-22

By Staff | Dec 22, 2016

Seth Bohrer

Wildcats’ Seth Bohrer drew a tough assignment recently in guarding Williamstown Star Issac Brown. Bohrer did a great job fighting through double screens and holding the sharpshooter to 19 points as the Wildcats came close to the upset. According to sports writer Ed Parsons, this scrappy 5’8″ junior is poised to do great season and Parsons would know, he was a Wildcats’ basketball star back in the day.

TCHS’ boys’ basketball team plays at 7:30 p.m. tonight at home against Liberty Harrison.

In other news, the TCHS Science Bowl team did very well recently at the competition at WVU-Parkersburg.

On Tuesday, they finished 2nd out of 15 teams in our RESA! The only team they lost to was Ripley, who beat them two out of three games.

The team will go on to the state level competition in Morgantown in February.

This is the highest finish any of our Science Bowl Teams have ever achieved in the RESA competition!

Congratulations to our Science Bowl Team — Seniors: Hannah Ankrom, Mya Ingram, Kara Smith, Simon Wirth and Luke Daugherty, a junior — and their coach Joe Griffith.
