Tuesday Morning Briefing 12-13

By Staff | Dec 13, 2016

Good morning Tyler County.

Lots of news ahead in Wednesday’s edition, so today’s briefing will be short.

Major changes may be ahead for Sistersville General Hospital. During Monday’s City Council meeting, SGH Board Chairwoman Linda Leasure presented three scenarios that will be under consideration when the board meets Wednesday. WVU Hospitals and Wheeling Hospital are interested in bringing SGH under their umbrella. Any decision the SGH Board makes will be presented at a special council meeting. More about this story will appear in Wednesday’s edition.

The Shop with a Cop progam was a success. Twenty kids were given $250 each for a shopping spree Monday at Walmart. Much praise goes to the community and area law enforcement for their generosity.

In girls’ basketball, Clay-Battelle defeated Paden City 54 to 26 on Monday in Blacksville. Ali Suter paced the Wildcats with eight points.

One last note, the Christmas decorations look great in downtown Sistersville. This editor loves the festive parking meters.
