Go Wildcats

The Silver Knights’ football team keeps its spot at 16th of 42 schools in the WVSSAC’s latest rankings that were posted Tuesday afternoon.

Silver Knights defeated the Wildcats on Tuesday in three matches 25-14, 25-11, 25-13 in the Sectionals at Magnolia High

Paden City defeated St Marys 25-19, 25-22, 25-21.

Magnolia defeated Ritchie County in three of four matches 25-15, 25-22, 20-25 and 25-22.

Paden city plays Ritchie at 5:30 p.m. today at New Martinsville School and Tyler plays the Blue Eagles at 5:30 at Magnolia in the Sectional semifinals of Class A at Magnolia High School.

Whoever wins those match-ups will play afterward to earn sectional tournament honors.

A grand slam definitely helped the Chicago Cubs defeat the Cleveland Indians 9-3 on Tuesday to tie up the World Series 3-3 at home in Cleveland. Indians might want to start using the voodoo or call in the “Wild Thing” to clinch the series.
