Robert Steven Baker, 70, of Josephs Mills Community, formerly of Barberton, OH, died Monday, August 15, 2016 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 9, 1946 in Tyler County, a son of the late Ora and Ruth Ash Baker.

Robert retired from B & W in Barberton, OH July 1, 1999 after 30 years of service.

He was an United States Army Veteran being discharged with the rank of E5. He was a life time member of the NRA and an avid hunter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, two brothers, two sisters, and four legged companion, Cocoa.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jackalin “Jackie” Lough Baker of 52 years; sons; Kevin (Debi), Barberton, OH, Keith (Frani), Josephs Mills; grandchildren, Angi, Donny, Steven, Nikki and Kristie. 11 great-grandchildren, special sons, Darrin Keeling and Johnny Kreps and sister, Edna.

A graveside service was held 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery, Alma with Reverend Donald Thomas officiating. Military rites were provided by VFW Post, 6327, Sistersville, VFW Post 4634, New Martinsville, American Legion Post, 67, Sistersville, American Legion Post, 86, Paden City and American Legion Post, 28, New Martinsville.
