Wildcats’ Alumni Reminisce Over Weekend
PADEN CITY – The Wildcats’ alumni weekend is fast approaching, and there is something for every alumnus and alumna attending the festivities between June 30 and July 2.
“Absolutely, I’m looking forward to Alumni weekend,” said Shauna Williams, president of the alumni association. “I think everyone will have a good time not only with the events we have scheduled, but seeing people that we haven’t seen in years.”
June 30, 6:30 p.m. – Memorial service for deceased alumni at a location to be determined.
Following service – Fellowship at Chen’s Garden in Paden City
July 1, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Paden City Museum is open for alumni to tour. Facility is located at 108 Main Street.
5 p.m. – Alumni volleyball game at PCHS’ gymnasium.
6 p.m. – Alumni basketball game at PCHS’ gymnasium
Also, at 6 p.m. there will be a Wings Wheels-n-Wildcats at the Matthew Barker complex. Food and cruise-in.
The Class of 1986 party will also be held here.
Other class party locations: 1956, Christian Church; 1966, old middle school; 1986, Barker Complex, and 1996, Sistersville Ferry
July 2, 7:30 a.m. – Golf scramble at Sistersville Country Club. For more information on this event, contact Mike Tallman.
8 a.m.-Noon – Breakfast at Paden City Volunteer Fire Company
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. – PC Museum is open again
Other classes will hold their parties at the following locations:
1:30 p.m. – Lineup for alumni parade
2 p.m. – Paden City Alumni Parade
6-8 p.m. – 64th Annual Alumni Banquet at a location to be determined. Advanced tickets are $20 and available at Wesbanco in Paden City. Tickets are also available at the door of the hall, the night of the banquet.
Veterans will be honored at the banquet.
