Rush has celebrated her second

Harli Leenea Rush, daughter of Brian and April Rush of Pine Grove, celebrated her second birthday on March 21.

Cassidy birth told

Brian and Karen Cassidy of Fairfax, Va, are proud to announce the birth of their first child, Liam Hall Cassidy, on Jan. 10. Liam weighed six pounds, 14 ounces and was 21-inches long at birth.

Wolley welcomed home

Jon and Julie Woolley of Dublin, Ohio, are proud to announce the birth of their first child, Hannah Marie Woolley, on January 21 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Hannah was born 10 weeks early and weighed three pounds, eight ounces and was 16.5-inches long at birth. On February 26th, Hannah was finally able to join her parents at home, and she is now a healthy, growing little girl.

Richmond and Scovell announce wedding

Brian and Susan Seders of Clarksburg are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth “Betsy” Suzette Richmond, to Jonathan Adam Scovell. She is also the daughter of the late Tim Richmond. Jon is the son of Kenneth and Margaret Scovell of Philadelphia, Pa.

Swaim and Hayes exchange vows

Shannon Swaim and J.R. Hayes II exchanged wedding vows recently at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nev.,. The event took place at the Venus Garden venue during the afternoon of March 20. The affair was enjoyed by close family friends on a beautiful, spring day.

Price turns seven

Christina Price, daughter of Bonnie Doty and Larry Price, of Sistersville celebrated her seventh birthday at the roller rink.

Spencer celebrates her 80th

Phyllis (Wright) Spencer celebrated her 80th birthday on April 26 at the Weirton home of her son Stephen Paul and his wife Cindy. Family and friends came from many West Virginia cities including Weirton, Fairmont, Morgantown, Lost Creek, Pine Grove, Salem and Alma. One niece and her family flew in from Sharpsburg, Georgia to commemorate the day with Spencer as well.

Hayes birth is told

Eric Hayed and Tiffany Morgan would like to announce the birth of their second child, a son, Dalton Hill Hayes.

Scharf is now one

Matthew Braydon Scharf, son of Michael and Susie (Mercer) Scharf of New Martinsville, celebrated his first birthday on Feb. 26 with an evening party at the First Church of God in New Martinsville.

Gump has turned one

Jaedyn Riley Gump celebrated her first birthday on March 27. A Strawberry Shortcake themed birthday party was held for her on March 29 at the Alvy Community Center.

Smith turns 70

Donnie “Pap” Smith of celebrated his 70th birthday recently with his granddaughter Courtney Smith. Smith of Middlebourne will be 70 years young on April 30, while his granddaughter turned 18 on April 29.

Landon Lee Thomas entered the world on March 15 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg.

Kunkel birth told

Bill and Mera Kunkel are proud to announce the birth of their son, Sawyer Benjamin Kunkel who entered this world April 7 at 9:49 a.m.

Keifers celebrate 50th anniversary

Ken and Maysel Keifer of Paden City are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married on April 26, 1958 in Parkersburg by Evangelist Floyd Caplinger. Maysel, a 1956 graduate of Parkersburg High School, is retired from Fenton Art Glass in Williamstown. Ken, who attended Paden City High School and served in the Air Force, has worked at Wayside Furniture in New Martinsville for 37 years. He has also been the minister at Buck Run Church of Christ for 16 years. Ken and Maysel have resided in Paden City most of their married life.

David Decker and Sheila Matheny, together with her daughters and families, would like to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.
