I have been "around the horn" as they say, visited many countries and just as many large and small city museums. and I am just as impressed with the Tyler County Museum as I was with MOMA in NYC, the Louvre in Paris, and others. As far as small town museums go, this one is "the top of the heap". It is classy, informative, warm, clean, educational for all ages, the volunteers are amazing and friendly. Somehow or another we have to take this gem and run with it....somehow getting over the HS vs Museum feud and get more of the nay-sayers to visit, at least once. Then they will appreciate it.
