Status of the Wells Inn

Does anyone know the status of the Wells Inn? Awhile back it was advertised to be sold for unpaid taxes. Then that was withdrawn - apparently the taxes were paid at the last minute. It has sat idle for a couple of years now with no word on any plans to reopen, sell or ?? It was a center for activity at one time and wonder if it can be revived.

Jimmy: LOL!

Everything is moving forward. These things take time and there is a lot of work that needs to be done.

Fightforjustice: In the interest of being vague let me say that everything is progressing as planned. (maybe there is a little bit of a politician in me yet.) As for the ghost busting, email me. bcwv@rocketmail****

Jimmy: A partner? Um, no. My wife just wouldn't understand. LOL!

My question is....Have you purchased the Wells as of yet? I see the prior discussions on the sale, but you have not stated wheter you have bought it or in the process of buying? I hope to see the Well's restored, mainly b/c of the paranormal activity in the building.:) It would be great to have someone have TAPS come in to investigate...anywhoo, just asking for some clarification..LOL

IamChaz: My name is Brandon, and I work at the hospital in Sistersville. I have a few things I'd like to discuss with you, if you could find the time to call I would appreciate it. The hospital's main line is 304-652-2611, just ask for me. Thanks in advance.

I think you are doing enough. Holding an office has got to be a nightmare. Also, for those who commented; I am not negative. The things I learned may very well save your life and/or property someday.

So, I learned how to prepare for, and manage, patient surges and emergency medical care if a disaster happens. everything I learned is for the benefit of the community. It is not because I am negative.

jimmy, re-reading your post I see that you DID offer to help. Sorry about that.

Why oh why would some one even think of mentioning a possible disaster? Try being a little optomistic! Iamchaz is doing a wonderful thing for all of us in Sistersville, why don't you offer to help him prevent those disasters from happening. I'm sure there are plenty of ways he could use your help...negativity is not one of them.

Jimmy, sounds like it would be interesting. Without a catastrophe or two life would be boring. :-)

Hey Jimmy:

Politics and business always go hand in hand, especially in a smaller community.

The best way to help the Wells is to continue to work on creating a positive environment in the community and be involved in projects that will bring people back to town.

The sale/renovation and reopening will have to take place at its own pace.

So what are you studying?

Sorry everyone,

I'm away at school at this time and missed something. How did politics get involved with the re-opening of the Wells Inn? I am so hoping it re-opens. I want to get the first room. What can we do to help with the Wells Inn?

Dangerous: I appreciate your advice but we all know that I cannot afford to get drawn into local politics. Im going to have to play nice with everyone.

Ive made my mistakes and find it best to 'own them' and thank others when then have gone out of their way for me. I also tend to be blunt and direct when someone plays me.

Hopefully it will make me a good neighbor although I am afraid it disqualifies me for Congress.

If Mr Fox was all that unpopular wouldnt people be lining up to run against him?

iamchaz, when only 50 people bother to vote in an election and the Mayor is unopposed, it tells me that he has big problems. If I were you, Fox would be the very last person I would want to help me out.

Basket: I am also afraid that I going to have to take the blame for that as well. Long story, but at some point I will tell you the whole thing, but only if you are buying.

Mayor Fox has been very helpful and supportive. I certainly appreciate his assistance.
