Paden City's girls basketball team took to the home floor Jan. 15 in a WVHIT game originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 13. The game was rescheduled for Monday due to bad weather. The Wildcats came out strong in the 2 p.m. showing and got their third win of the season, 48-30.

The Wildcats wasted no time establishing dominance as they jumped out to an early eight-point lead before stretching it to 18 -7 at the end of the first quarter. Abbe Stackpole was red hot in the first frame for Paden City as she scored 11 points. The second quarter was not much better for the visitors as Paden City, led by Hannah Loy's five and Skylar Fulks' three points, took a 10-6 quarter lead and went into the half with a lead, 28-13.

Union outscored the Wildcats, 12-9, in the third quarter before the 'Cats came back and took the last frame, 11-3, to end the game.
