Film 'Moving Mountains' to premiere in Charleston

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. (AP) — A film shot in several West Virginia locations will premiere this month in Charleston.

The Williamson Daily News (http://bit.ly/1tD5i4Y) reports "Moving Mountains" starring Theresa Russell will be shown Aug. 21 at the West Virginia State University Capitol Center Theatre.

Filming occurred in 2012 in Mingo County, Charleston, Shepherdstown and Martinsburg.

The movie tells the story of Trish Bragg of Pie as she and her friends fight for safe drinking water after a coal mine destroyed their wells. It is based on a 2007 book by Penny Loeb. She also wrote and is executive producer of the film, which is directed by Jeanie Clark.
