Tyler Star News

Good morning Tyler County.

Quote of the day comes from Kallie Arnett, the sole senior member of the Wildcats' cheerleading squad that took home a third place trophy on Saturday at the OVAC Cheerleading competition.

"I was very anxious, but I knew my team and I were going to do amazing, I'm very proud to be a Wildcat."

The Tyler County Board of Education meets at 7:30 p.m. tonight (Monday) at the board office. Joyce Haggerty and Gwen Davies are seeking board approval and making plans related to Relay for Life.

Among the other items included in the agenda, Bryce Negie will be requesting permission to take the TCMS choir to the Wheeling Nailers at the Wesbanco Arena in Wheeling to perform "God Bless America" on March 24.

Paden City Council meets at 7 p.m. tonight (Monday) at City Hall. A first reading of a proposed increase in municipal fees is on the agenda among other pressing matters.

Tuesday, make plans to attend the Silver Knights Band and Sole Ensemble at 7 p.m. at the school's auditorium. Remember, these kids have multiple awards and taken home many trophies this past year, so the music should be incredible.
