Gerald Lang to lead WVU's new forensic department

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — West Virginia University has named Gerald Lang to lead its new Department of Forensic and Investigative Science.

The university announced Lang's appointment on Wednesday in a news release. He currently is with WVU's Research Office.

The university's Board of Governors approved the department's creation in April.

The forensics program began in 1997. It has a laboratory facility and a crime scene training facility.
