To the Editor:

The mayor, John "Hoppy" Hopkins, and I would like to thank all the merchants in the area for supporting us with gifts for the Wayne Wilcox Cruise In participants and monetary support for our third annual Paden City Community Fall Festival on Oct. 11.

The following merchants in New Martinsville are: Captain Richards / Choo Choo's, Bridgeport Equipment, Auto Zone, Tractor Supply, Occasions Florist, Bayer Credit Union, Advanced Auto, Quinet's Court Restaurant, McDonald's, Arby's, Witschey's, Off the Wall, The Flower Basket, Peking Garden Buffet, Country Roads Ford, Valley Plumbing and Electric, Wendy's, Barth's Florist, The Jewelry Doctor, The Tin Ceiling, and Ace Hardware.

Paden City: Chen's Garden, Auto Related, WesBanco, Chapman Hardware.

Sistersville Merchants: King's Corner, The Wells Inn, Wable Ford, People's Bank, Dudley's Florist, Phillips Pharmacy, HP Pharmacy, Packy's/ Sistersville IGA, Bell Chevrolet, and Farmer's Harvest.

Your contributions to the festival are vital to its success and we thank you so much for your help.

We want to thank all the people who attended the festival and our entertainers Pete Lauderman and John Jones, Beacon Road, and Pastor Sharletta Green of NMUMC. Your performances were awesome. Thank you, Ben Tharp for making it out as well. Thank you, Jodi Frum for helping call some of the vendors for us, that was so helpful.

We want to thank all the many vendors who were with us this year. The local organizations who provide support each year for our venture, a big thank you goes out to The Garden Club, Ladies Auxiliary Unit #86, The Museum and Foundation, the Lions Club, Paden City Library who provided pumpkins for the children to decorate, and the Paden City FIre Department for the food trailer and the fire truck for fire prevention awareness tours for the children.

A special "Thank You" goes out to Jim Bowen for providing and delivering our big pumpkins, weighing 810 pounds. It was amazing and the children enjoyed climbing on this fantastic specimen.

I hope I haven't forgotten anyone, but because of all the people mentioned above, our Paden City Community Festival was a huge success! Without all the community being behind this project, it would not happen, so thank you, everyone who supported us and came out to spend the day in the park.
