From Harold “Junie” Dally

Tyler Star News

I would like to begin by thanking everyone who has donated to Sistersville Parks and Recreation so far. It truly has been a spectacular year of growth for our park and for the city. There are some very nice projects we would like to see completed, such as the splash pad at the pool. For those of you who don't know, a splash pad is an area where children can run through a system of sprinklers and water sprayers. It will be a fun addition to the pool. The centerpiece will be a large replica of an oil derrick that sprays from the top in all directions.

In order to complete that project and more, I am asking if 25 local businesses and individuals would please help us by donating a minimum of $1,000 each. While any donation is welcome and wholeheartedly appreciated, a lump sum of $25,000 raised will serve these facilities well and show just how outstanding and generous the people of this community are.

Our park is already great, and so is our community, but with your help, we can make ours one of the premiere parks in the valley. People are already coming from near and far to enjoy the services we offer children, families, and sports leagues. With your help we can make things even more appealing to the masses.

As a councilman and advocate of this city, we will pursue this project to the best of my ability.

This is a success story in the making. I, along with other city officials, will personally make sure that our part in this story is told.

Checks can be made payable to Sistersville Parks and Recreation, and the memo in the check should say "For Splash Pad."

If you have any questions or are interested in donating, you may reach me at 304-771-0773.

Thank you for your support,

Harold "Junie" Dally

First Ward Councilman
