Kelly Simms was crowned this year's queen at the 46th Annual West Virginia Oil and Gas Festival Queen's Pageant held Aug. 2 at Sistersville Elementary School.
This honor resulted in Simms receiving a queen's gift basket, $1,800, a sash, and plaque. Simms also received the honor of Miss Photogenic at the prestigious event.
Anna Moriah Alfred, Carly Jaxon Farmer, Madison Jewell Barker, and Kaitlynn Breann Coe were named first-, second-, third-, and fourth-runners-up, respectively. Alfred also received the title of Miss Congeniality.

Pageant Director Joberta White was honored Saturday night, as this is her final year as pageant director. White stated that she feels "so blessed and thankful for the amazing journey over the past 40 years."
The 2006 Oil and Gas Festival Pageant Queen, Kristina Snider, emceed Saturday's event. Other helpers and sponsors included: Gary and Wellman Inc., Jessie Marsh, Mrs. Jack White, Crystal Crown Inc., Amrine Awards & Apparel, Inside-Out Sorts Apparel, Dudley's Florist, and Brandon Yeater.
The queen's gift basket items were donated by: Elizabeth Michaels, J.T. and Associates, Chris Schenerlein, Lee's Merle Norman and Day Spa, Dudley's Florist, Phillips Pharmacy, Pretty Nails, The Style Center, Hollywood Nails, Elite Signs, Buttermores, Rhinestone and Jewels, and Farmer's Harvest.
