Gary L. Willey II, 33, and Mary L. Bassett, 26, both of 145 Dry Run Road, Sistersville, were arrested on Sunday for allegedly operating a methamphetamine lab.

Willey and Bassett were both charged with three separate felony offenses of possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance, operating or attempting to operate a clandestine lab, and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver.

They were transported to the North Central Regional Jail, after a search warrant of their premises executed by the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office turned up methamphetamine and precursors used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Willey and Bassett were both arraigned in Tyler County Magistrate Court on Monday and each were placed on $30,000 bond. The Tyler County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this investigation by the Monroe County, Ohio, Sheriff’s Office. Both defendants remain incarcerated awaiting a hearing in magistrate court.
