With about two weeks left to play in the 2014 West Virginia Girls' High School basketball season, local teams are struggling to find opportunities to get the last few games of the season played at all. Weather conditions and school cancellations are making it very difficult for any of the local teams to keep to their schedules, but both the Lady Wildcats and Lady Knights had opportunities to play twice last week.
The Lady Wildcats took the WV Hometown Invitational Tournament Championship on Feb. 1 in St. Marys, getting the 65-56 win over the Lady Bulldogs of Doddridge.
