January 29, 2014
Tyler Star News

As of 3 p.m. on Saturday, the deadline for citizens to enter their names for Sistersville's March 27 election has expired. The City of Sistersville announced the following:

Bill Rice and Beri Jean Fox will vie for the seat of mayor.

In the First Ward, Harold Dally and incumbent Councilman Richard Long will run for the two available seats.

Incumbent Third Ward councilmen Phil Konopacky and Mark Klages, who were appointed in December, will run for the two available seats.

Bonnie Hizer is running for one of the two available Fourth Ward seats, which will leave one seat open after the election.

Councilman Mitch Corley of the Second Ward maintains his position because his term does not expire until the next election; however, a council seat will remain open in the Second Ward following the election.

Early voting will be from March 14-24, and general voting will be March 27. Polling locations and times will be announced in the near future.
