Childhood is supposed to be a care free, fun filled time of life. But imagine the child whose daily life is dealing with asthma..A life revolving around visits to various doctors, hospitals, and labs. A life of being concerned and cautious. Wouldn’t you give just about anything to provide these children the opportunity to experience “normal” childhood fun?

Camp Catch Your Breath was initiated twenty-three years ago to provide a fun and educational summer-camp experience for asthmatic children who might not otherwise get to go to camp. The camp has three goals: to help children to manage their asthma, to allow campers to learn by sharing their experiences with others with the same disease, and to offer a fun camping experience to kids who might not otherwise get to go to camp. In most cases a week at asthma camp results in fewer trips to the emergency room as well as fewer hospital stays for our campers. This is one of the top benefits of this asthma management program.

Sistersville General Hospital would like to sponsor children to Camp Catch Your Breath. The cost per camper is $230.00. This effort will only be possible if we join together as a community to raise the necessary funding. Sistersville General Hospital would like to invite you and your organization to join with us as we strive to reach our goal. Donations may be mailed to Diana Rice, C/o Sistersville General Hospital, 314 South Wells Street, Sistersville, WV 26175 or dropped off at SGH. If you would like additional information or have questions, please contact me, 304-447-2454 or email: drice@sistersvillegeneral.com.

Thank you in advance for your continued support. Your generosity allows us to touch our community and respond to their needs.

Sincerely,

Diana L. Rice
