On Saturday, the Tyler Star News and the Wells Inn will sponsor the inaugural Remembrance Ball from 7-10 p.m. at the hotel in Sistersville. Proceeds from the event will benefit Relay for Life of Tyler County.

Hors d'oeuvres will be served in the hotel's formal dining room throughout the evening, with dancing in the courtyard. Music will be provided by Rick Estep (DJ Vyros). Additionally, Dave Wells will be on hand to provide romantic carriage rides through the city.

Couples will have the opportunity to pose for photographs for a small donation. Each couple will receive a 5x7 print as a souvenir.

The cost of admission is $20 per person or $35 per couple. Call 304-652-4141 to make a reservation, or purchase advance tickets in person at the Tyler Star News office located at 720 Wells Street, Sistersville. Reservations are firm upon receipt of payment.

"Cancer survivors, caregivers and others who have touched by cancer are encouraged to attend to celebrate life and honor those who have been lost to this devastating disease," commented Jonay Corley, editor of the Tyler Star News.

Formal attire is suggested, but not required.
