In what has become a tradition on the Mother's Day weekend, the Tammy Clegg Memorial was ran for the sixth year. Clegg a former Powder Puff and Women's Racing Series driver, lost her life in a car accident coming home from the Speedway. The race started with the Street Stocks class in 2007 and switched to the Hot Mods last year, continuing in that class this year.

In the Bridgeport Equipment and Tool Hot Mods, Kenny Isner, Travis Thomas, and Devin Verardi snared the prelim honors. As mechanical problems forced Isner to be a no show for the feature, Thomas shot to the point at the drop of the green with Verardi, Mike Conkle, Curtis Watson and Codi Eaton in hot pursuit. Cautions on laps eight, the restart of eight, and nine slowed action, but the green waved for the remainder of the race as Conkle darted by Verardi on lap 10 and began to reel in Thomas.

On lap 14 Thomas slid high in turn two allowing Conkle to narrow the gap. But Thomas driving the #18 Sigler Fabrication / J W Morgan Construction car was able to hold off Conkle for his second consecutive in the event honoring his sister. Verardi, Chris Ice (from tenth), and Eaton rounded out the top five.

After Butch McGill, Jacob Hawkins and Steve Weigle took heat wins with Donnie Dotson getting the checkers in the consey, the Wagon Wheel Bar& Grill Super Late Models were set for their feature. McGill using his trademark Ford power motored to the front with Hawkins, Weigle, Billy Brown and Dusty Hamrick following. Paul Wilmoth Jr., moved into fourth by the third go round, and third on lap nine. While Wilmoth was moving closer to the front, McGill had his hands full with Hawkins who was applying heavy pressure.

As the circuits clicked off Wilmoth caught the leaders and zipped by Hawkins on lap 11. McGill and Wilmoth began a classic battle circling the lightning quick mile. With three laps remaining Wilmoth pulled even with McGill. But the 'Doddridge County Terror" turned "the Gambler"back enroute to his second trip to victory lane this season. Hawkins, Weigle, and Hamrick completed the top five. McGill piloting the Jenkins Ford / J & M Graffix #1MC in his 45th anniversary season has notched two wins in three outings.

In the United Rental Industrial Division Edge Crate Late Models, Kyle Thomas used his pole position and blasted to the point at the outset and never looked back. Steve Wilmoth chased Thomas but could not make a serious bid for the lead. The Paint by Grover / Dodd's Sporting Goods #32 of Thomas sat in the winners circle for the second time in as many races at Tyler. Daniel Hill (the Edge driver eligible for the 'double down' bonus with his at Elkins the night before) finished third, Shawn Jett and Michael Griffin were fourth and fifth.

A contrast in experience sat on the front row of the 2 Brothers Racing TSMA Modified finale. The multi track Champion Mike Wilson and the younger second generation driver Deana Groves brought the field to green. Wilson out dragged Groves to turn one and would lead wire to wire. Groves stayed close but could not mount a charge. With yellows falling on laps two, three, five, 13 and 14 slowing the event. Wilson in his self sponsored #20, notched his first checkerboard of the year. Groves had to settle for second. Travis Dickson would cross the stripe in third. Tommy Powell would finish fourth, but a jump on the last restart docked him two spots. Chris Basich and Mark Dickson would then complete the top five.

On the third try the Herrington Yoak Ford Mod Lites got under way with Beau Newlon showing the way. But on lap two Brandon Fluharty took over. On the restart of lap three Josh Baldwin snared second and began to put the heat on Fluharty. As the laps mounted Fluharty was able to keep Baldwin behind him.

Coming to the white flag, Fluharty pushed high in turn four, leaving just enough room for Baldwin to squirt by. Baldwin in the White's Welding / Belmont Aggregate sponsored #34N would cross the line ahead of Fluharty for the checkers. Newlon, Jeff Fornash, and Mike Herrington were third through fifth. The first try at green was red flagged when Matt Ward flipped on the back chute. Thankfully Ward was ok and was able to walk away under his own power.

Donnie Wamsley made it two in a row for the Custom Engraving 4 cylinders as he put the D & D Motorsports #00 ahead of Jason Frazier, Josh Fulks, Justin Freeland, and Rickie Wright.

Trey Watson won the MWRA Mini Wedge feature A as he bested Scott Perine, Brandon Weigle, Kaitlyn Frazier, and Wesley Baker. Jackson Jacobs won his second B feature as he crossed the line before Kylie Cross, Hayden Jacobs, Buckwheat Wright, and Josh Gump.

In the Powder Puff race, Sandy Durrah was first in the Hot Mods and Kathy Bell was first in the 4 cylinders.
