Dear Editor

On June 2011, the American Legion Auxiliary, Coe-Thorn Unit 67 was able to send 10 girls to Rhododendron Girls State, whichis held at Wheeling Jesuit at a cost of $200 per girl.

We would like to thank the following sponsors for making this possible: Bell Chevrolet, Phillips Pharmacy, Witscheys Market, Long Reach Federal Credit Union, Reliable Supply, Tyler Insurance, Friendly Lions, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary-Post 6327, Kings Korner, Inside Out Sports, Your Stores Mall, Wable Ford, Sons of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars-Post 6327, IGA, Mitch and Susan Wilson, First Federal Savings Bank, Mary Kay Products-Judy Cooper, Curby's, American Legion-Brian Reed Memorial Fund, Union Bank Inc., St. Farm Insurance Companies, Kelvin Feather Dr DDS, WesBanco, and American Legion Riders.

Those girls chosen to attend were: Carissa Beaver, Karlie Hilpert, Alexis Ebert, Alaina McCoy, Tara Weese, Brooke Clegg, Alaina Rine, Meggie Warner, Kaitlyn Neff, Tiffany Kernan. Alternates were Sarah Campbell, Jocelyn Reed, McKenzie Rose, Savanah Hilvers, and Crystal Long.
