Tyler Star News

Dear Editor,

You came to the Grand Opening of the Tyler County Senior Center's Wellness Center after someone called and requested you be here. Took pictures, and a little information, and left. However, the information you printed was incomplete.

This may not have been big news to the folks at the Star News but it was very big news to those who worked long and hard to bring this project to fruition. We have taken several pictures of the facility as well as the things that go on here. Perhaps when you do a fitness article you could contact us and use some of our pictures.

In the meantime I would like to get this information out to the public.

We have new state of the art equipment, as well as classes to participate in, such as Zumba at a small fee per session, Yoga at a small fee per session, Walk Away the Pounds, no charge, and chair aerobics at no charge. There is something for every one young and old, whatever your ability.

The facility is not just for seniors. It is open to the community and surrounding areas. To those under the age of 60 there is a small membership fee monthly. Seniors are asked just to make a donation.

I would like to extend an invitation to all to come in and check us out. We will gladly show you around, and your first visit to use the equipment is FREE!

We are open 8am to 6pm Monday through Friday, and 8am to 1pm on Saturday. Our phone number is 304-758-4998.

Thank You,

Pam Farhatt
