By Staff | Nov 2, 2011

Tyler Consolidated’s Dylan Reynolds was the only Silver Knight to qualify for the West Virginia State Cross Country meet held at Cabell-Midland High School on Saturday, and represented his team very well.

The sophomore harrier placed 32nd in a field of 102 with a time of 18:13.8 in the fast paced pack.

“Dylan did an excellent job this year, considering that he spent most of the season on the soccer field,” said coach Luke Reynolds of the cross training athlete who participates on both the cross country team as well as the boys soccer team. “This experience at state showed him what it is going to take to compete at that level.”

“I look forward to next season and working with him in the next two years. Having this experience now, we can just build off of that base an see what he is truly capable of in his junior and senior years.”

In the Class AA boys meet, Richwood’s Andrew Shaffer was the overall winner with a time of 16:27.3. and Magnolia’s Bill Feeney placed fourth overall in 17:02.1.
