Folger – Renchen

Gabrielle Faith Folger and Jeffrey David Renchen were married on July 10, 2010 at the Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Ohio. The Rev. Norman Claye Folger performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Rev. Norman Claye Folger and Julia Daniell Folger of Salem. She is the granddaughter of Norman and Donna Folger and Robert and Carolee Daniell of Middlebourne.

The groom is the son of David and Peggy Renchen of Fort Thomas, KY and the grandson of Charles and Betty Renchen and the late Bill and Mary Henn of Bellevue, Ky.

The bride was presented in marriage by her brother, Jeremiah Folger.

The maid of honor was Emily Speir along with bridesmaids Caitlin Bartlett, Austin Luckett, Jessica Renchen (sister of the groom) and Lori Singer (U.S. Army). Paul Thompson was the best man. Groomsmen were Phil Gilb Tim Osterman, Adam Sewell and Jeremiah Folger (brother of the bride). The bride’s cousin, Noah Smith, was the ringer bearer. He is the son of Jim and Shari Smith of Middlebourne.

A reception was held at the Salem Elks Lodge and was catered by Judy Houston of The Center.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Salem High School and a 2009 graduate of Coastal Carolina University where she received a B.S. in Marine Science and a Biology minor. The groom is a 2005 graduate of Highlands High School (Fort Thomas, KY) and a 2009 graduate of Coastal Carolina University where he received a B.S. in Marine Science with minors in Math and Biology.

The bride and groom honeymooned in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands.

The couple currently resides in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands where they are pursuing master’s degrees in Marine and Environmental Science at the University of the Virgin Islands. The bride is also employed as a research assistant with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the groom is employed as a research assistant and teaching assistant for the university.
