Couple unites in marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Brad Shortridge

Sharley D’Lon Henderson and Brad Shortridge were united in marriage in an outdoor ceremony at 5:30pm, Saturday, June 12, at the Henderson’s Sugar Creek Farm, with Brandy Frye officiating the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Charles and Darlene Henderson of Meadville, W.Va. The groom is the son of Larry and Marti Shortridge of Proctorville, Ohio.

Arriving in a horse-drawn white carriage, the bride was dressed in an elegant white strapless gown, carrying a bouquet of stargazer lilies.

LeaAnne Strode served as maid of honor and Josh Shortridge, brother of the groom, served as best man. Bridesmaids were Jessica Henderson, Amanda Brown, Janell Hill, and Joni Shortridge, sister-in-law of the groom. Groomsmen were David Henderson, brother of the bride, Tony Fuller, Ronnie Porter, and Erik Anderson. Junior groomsmen were Zach Kincaid, nephew of the groom, and Colby Buchanan, cousin of the bride. Attending the guest book was Jessa Fletcher. Serving as flower girl was Landry Buchanan, cousin of the bride, and the ring bearer was Weston Henderson, nephew of the bride.

Music was provided by Amy Herrick, Tony Fuller, and Chad, Slade, and Gentry Buchanan, cousins of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Marshall University. She is employed by Dutch Miller Chevrolet. The groom is a graduate of Fairland High School. He is employed by CSX Railroad.

The couple will reside in Proctorville.
