Dear Editor:

As outgoing President of the 2010 S.H.S. Alumni Association, I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to so many for making this years celebration perhaps the most successful to date.

First, I would like to thank all of the Alumni who made the journey home, all of the classes that participated in all scheduled alumni events, the Alumni Association's Officers and Board of Directors who work so hard in making this weekend a huge success!

An extra special thank you is extended to WVU head coach, Coach Bill Stewart, his lovely wife Karen and son Blaine who took time out of their busy lives to participate in the parade and Coach Stewart for his outstanding speech as our Keynote Speaker at the S.H.S. Alumni Banquet.

A special thank you to Jennifer Thomas Surface, 1st VP and Beth Hendricks Roberts 2nd VP who make the Chapel Program and the Grand Parade the best and most successful to date! Thank you to Past President Dana Johnson who successfully spearheaded the SHS Alumni Golf Tournament and to Becky Ferrebee, Jim McIntrye and Kitty Knowlton for their continued work in making the SHS Alumni Band the best band in the land!

Record attendances at all events, donations given to our association and scholarship program continue to make the S.H.S. Alumni Association the most successful and best in the United States!

Seventeen years mark the closing of Sistersville High School but the S.H.S. Alumni Association continues to become bigger and better than ever! This only confirms that, Tiger Pride Will Never Die!

As the S.H.S. Alumni 2010 celebration comes to an end I along with all SHS Alumni, are anxiously awaiting S.H.S. Alumni 2011! Best wishes to President Jennifer Thomas Surface, 1st Vice President Beth Hendricks Roberts, and 2nd Vice President, Bobby Wells, So, pack your bags, wax your surfboards. S.H.S. Alumni as we are "Beach Bound!"

Sincerely,

Rich Danser
