CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Some college students in West Virginia are getting a break from classes because of a winter storm.

West Virginia State, Concord and Shepherd universities closed their campuses Thursday. Bluefield State and Glenville State colleges also shut down.

Marshall University's Beckley center also is closed.

The University of Charleston cancelled classes at its main campus in Charleston and at its Beckley campus.

Glenville State is advising students, faculty and staff who already are on campus to stay until road conditions improve.
