Winter storm warning posted in parts of W.Va.

February 11, 2014
Associated Press

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Portions of West Virginia are preparing for another winter storm.

The National Weather Service says up to 10 inches of heavy, wet snow are possible in Greenbrier, Monroe, Pocahontas, Randolph and Summers counties from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon.

The weather service says the snow could lead to sporadic power outages and hazardous travel conditions.

Lesser amounts are forecast in counties just west of the warning area.

In addition, a winter storm watch is posted for several other eastern and northern counties.
