CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A cameo glass artist's work will be a permanent exhibit at the West Virginia State Museum.

The Division of Culture History will hold an opening reception for the exhibit, The Cameo Glass Artistry of Kelsey Murphy, at 6 p.m. Monday at the museum.

The reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public.

Pilgrim Glass in Ceredo contracted Murphy and her husband, Robert BomKamp, in 1984 to design and create three-dimensional, compound curved vessels. They joined Pilgrim Glass in 1987. They continued to work with remaining uncut vessels at their home and workshop in East Lynn after Pilgrim Glass closed in 2001.
