CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Three housing programs in West Virginia will receive nearly $113,000 to help low-income families.
U.S. Sens. Joe Manchin and Jay Rockefeller announced the funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The grants include about $48,000 for the Wheeling Housing Authority, $46,000 for the Charleston-Kanawha Housing Authority and $18,000 for the Benwood-Mcmechen Housing Authority.
The grants help families find jobs and move on to non-assisted housing.
