December 17, 2013
Associated Press

PRINCETON, W.Va. (AP) — The northbound lanes of Interstate 77 near the West Virginia-Virginia border have been temporarily closed while work continues to repair a slipping hillside.

The West Virginia Department of Transportation says both northbound lanes along an eight-mile section of the highway in Mercer County will reopen at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Crews are removing rocks after setting off explosives on Friday.

Traffic is being detoured while the northbound lanes are closed.
