CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) — State officials are preparing to solicit bids for a new office building in Clarksburg.
Department of Administration spokeswoman Diane Holley-Brown tells The Exponent Telegram (http://bit.ly/19c7DFB ) that the project will go out to bid early this month.
The building will house offices of the Division of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Health and Human Resources, Division of Rehabilitation Services, WorkForce West Virginia, Auditor's Office and Tax Department.
Mayor Cathy Goings says city officials are anxious for work to begin on the project. She says officials hope it will attract commercial businesses and boost economic development in that area of downtown.
