W.Va. wind farm stirs more complaints

November 16, 2013
Associated Press

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) — A wind farm near Keyser continues to stir complaints.

The latest is in the form of a lawsuit filed by a Mineral County businessman who says noise and vibrations are harming his efforts to sell houses less than 2 miles away.

The State Journal (http://bit.ly/18d7xRq) reports that Mike Haywood filed his lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Martinsburg.

The Green Mountain turbines are owned by Pinnacle Wind Farm LLC.

An officer of Pinnacle's parent company, Edison Mission Group of Rosemead, Calif., has declined in the past to discuss the lawsuits, but has vowed to fight them.

The power generated by the turbines is sold in Maryland.
