HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Huntington native Peter Marshall says he's thrilled about his upcoming induction into the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame.

Marshall may be best known for his years as host of TV's "Hollywood Squares." But the veteran of multiple Broadway musicals has always thought of himself as a singer.

Of all his honors, which include five Emmy Awards and 2007 induction into the American TV Game Show Hall of Fame, the 87-year-old Marshall tells The Herald-Dispatch ( that he's more excited about the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame than anything he's ever done.

The induction ceremony will be held Saturday night at the state Culture Center in Charleston.

Other inductees include Melvin & Ray Goins, Wayne Moss, Tim O'Brien, The Swan Silvertones, Ada "Bricktop" Smith and Eleanor Steber.
