MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) — An air show at the Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport in Martinsburg will be grounded for the second straight year.
The Thunder Over the Blue Ridge air show last May was called off because appearances by the Air Force's Thunderbirds were canceled in response to automatic federal spending cuts.
While the Thunderbirds will fly a reduced schedule in 2014, the president of the air show's board, Nic Diehl, says no show is planned in Martinsburg next year.
He tells The Journal (http://bit.ly/1bYOGIF) that the board's next step is to decide whether a show will be held in 2015.
