DAVISVILLE, W.Va. (AP) — Representatives of a West Virginia economic development organization are in Chicago this week participating in the Global Plastics Summit.

The Davisville-based Polymer Alliance Zone of West Virginia works to market the state's plastics industry and recruit plastic-related companies to West Virginia.

Polymer alliance zone president Karen Facemyer says in a news release that West Virginia is primed for growth in the plastic industry. She cites the state's proximity to market, available infrastructure, low cost feedstocks and a skilled workforce.

The summit began Monday and continues through Wednesday.
