Police ID Pennsboro man killed in house explosion

PENNSBORO, W.Va. (AP) — A man killed in an explosion at his home in Ritchie County has been identified.

West Virginia State Police Sgt. Clint Boring tells WBOY-TV ( ) that no foul play is suspected in the death of 73-year-old Robert Lee Holmes.

The explosion occurred at Holmes' home in Pennsboro on Oct. 21.

An investigation is continuing. State police and the State Fire Marshal believe the explosion was caused by a natural gas leak.
