CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A West Virginia logging truck driver who died in a collision with a sightseeing train is being remembered by friends and family.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning for Danny Lee Kimble Sr. of Bartow at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale.

The truck driver was killed in the Oct. 12 accident. Twenty-three people were injured when the collision occurred along U.S. 250 atop Cheat Mountain, about 160 miles east of Charleston.

The Durbin & Greenbrier Railroad's Cheat Mountain Salamander train, carrying 63 passengers and four crew members, had embarked on a trip to observe fall foliage when the loaded log truck collided with it.

Two passenger cars flipped on their sides.
